Objects were animated by concealing speakers within them and giving each a voice – a travel bag stuffed with maps (pictured) talked about emigrating from the Congo to London, a broken chair complains of how tired it is and pleads for no one on sit on it, an answer phone clicks on and barks out a Hammer Horror style warning message… these and more combine to create unnerving, touching and sometimes comic relationships between the things and the sounds that are installed around the space.
